Bibi Westerhuis Love for Horses
A historic heritage unlike any other.

One of the distinguished gems situated in the legendary Sonian forest surrounding Brussels, Europe's capital.

This historic heritage stems from the flourishing times of the Groenendaal racecourse almost 100 years ago. Under the influence of the legendary King Leopold II a magnificent state of the art racecourse was build to go beyond any other race facility ever established in Europe. This hippodrome was the finest and largest ever build and the first to display three racing disciplines. Named the "Groenendaal racetrack", the exquisite accommodation was immensely popular and attracted the fastest horses, the finest jockeys and thousands of spectators.

During these magical years many of the champion horses were trained at our patrimonial stables.
